Come sailing with us July 12th & July 25th!

Tickets for our JULY 12TH sail are available here!

Tickets for our JULY 25TH (for Belgian Independence Day) sail are available here!

We're setting sail on everyone's favorite sailboat for our THIRD cruise of the season! We've partnered up with our good buddies over at Ventura Sails for an afternoon onboard the Ventura, a sailing yacht built in 1919. You haven't seen NYC until you've seen it from New York Harbor. Prepare yourself for epic views and fantastic brews!

Your ticket gets you onboard, where we will be serving unlimited craft beer and some light snacks. And the best part: we'll be sailing right past Lady Liberty herself in all her glory. It's beautiful. It's breathtaking. It's the best way to celebrate summertime in the USA!

We'll be setting sail out of the North Cove Marina right in the Financial District. Look for our group on the NORTH SIDE of the Marina (that's the side closer to Shake Shack, which is always a good thing).

NO LOLLYGAGGING: We set sail at 3:00 sharp! No-shows cannot be refunded! REPEAT: NO-SHOWS CANNOT BE REFUNDED!

Make sure you show up with VALID PHOTO ID (you've gotta be 21+ to drink, you know) and get ready for a great time!

If you can't make this sail, don't worry! We'll be hitting the water on these dates later on. Ticket sale pages to come!

Introducing Tuesday Night Trivia!

One of the things we love most about our customers is how damn intelligent you are.

Sure, you're all incredibly beautiful. But the brains on you lot? That's where it's at!

That's why we've decided to tap into your natural abilities and start hosting TUESDAY NIGHT TRIVIA, every week henceforth starting at 8pm!

If you've ever done bar trivia before, you pretty much know the deal: Bring your friends (or play solo if you're all about that life!), grab a seat, and prepare to wow the room with how much you know about international capitals, American history, and the obscure guest stars of Rocko's Modern Life.

It's free to play! There will be prizes, hilarity, tears (wait, what?), and memories that will easily last until Thursday afternoon!

See you soon, beer geeks!

When You've Had "A Day": Getting Through It All With A Little Help From Sfoglini Pasta

By ABC Beer Co.'s very own Eli Gay

You, my friend, have had a day.

The L was down, you stepped in dog crud diverting to the M, and after passive-aggressively shaming you for being late, your boss blamed you for something he messed up last Friday. The Word doc you’d been working on all day crashed, file corrupted, and you spent the hours between 7 and 8 rewriting it between slugs from the flask in your drawer.

Finally home, the liquor in your belly is grumbling for three slices from the pizza joint across the street, the same place that’s made you dinner for the past two nights . . .

At ABC Beer Co., we want to prepare you for these nights, nights when you just want to curl up and binge watch Breaking Bad eating something delicious, warm, and easy to make.

Enter Sfoglini pasta and Marky Ramone’s Marinara Pasta Sauce. Both are made in Brooklyn and are in love with each other (seriously, why don’t they just get married?). The Radiators are the perfect size and shape to hold the maximum amount of Marky’s sweet and savory sauce in every bite. And the sauce, oh the sauce, is all natural and made with Italian plum tomatoes. Plus, 10% of net proceeds goes directly to Autism Speaks.

Got some old veggies in the back of that fridge? Sauté ‘em, steam ‘em, or fry ‘em, and throw ‘em in to make it fancy (or for health reasons).

Pro tip: tired of garnishing your pastas with the same, stale shredded parmesan sitting in the door of your fridge? Ask us to cut you a piece of Pantaleo, an awesome Sarndinian goat’s milk cheese that’s perfect for grating. It’ll give you a fresh sweetness you’d never get out of prepackaged parmesan.

What we did: Had some broccoli and red peppers in the fridge. We grabbed a smoked kielbasa from the East Village Meat Market (They’re great!).

1 Package Sfoglini (Any kind)

1 Jar Marky Ramone’s Marinara Pasta Sauce

1 Kielbasa, sliced

1 Head Broccoli, steamed

2 Roasted Red Peppers

1/2 Onion, diced

Pantaleo for grating

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente.

Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add onion until translucent. Add kielbasa and cook, stirring occasionally, until the kielbasa develops a crust. Add Marky Ramone’s Marinara Pasta Sauce, steamed broccoli, red peppers.

Drain pasta and add to skillet. Stir until well-mixed.

Freak out at how good this tastes. Pretend you’re Paul Prudhomme while Heisenberg cooks his own special recipe.

Your Sweetheart Loves Beer: ABC Beer Co's Guide to Valentine's Day

By ABC Beer Co.’s very own Michael Zimmer

That’s right, craft beer fans: it’s Valentine’s Day. Time to put on your nicest flannel, comb your beard, and think about your other true love. Just because this holiday is traditionally ruled by wine there’s really no good reason to stop drinking beer. Sure, you could go looking for that perfect $10-20 bottle of “your finest red,” or you could stop by the shop where we’ve got you covered for fine chocolates, cheese and charcuterie, and these fantastic bottles worth sharing with your sweetheart.

Brasserie Dupont Foret Blanche

Like the heartfelt message you wrote on the inside of your Duane Reade Valentine’s card, this Belgian white pairs well with cheese. Zesty flavors touch on funky spices and hop tartness with a wheaty body that will compliment your Thai food take out because who knew all the restaurants would be completely booked for the night?

Rogue Farms OREgasmic Ale

Sustainable, locally sourced, organic, this beer is all natural, baby. The fruity flavor from five homegrown Oregon hop varieties fills out a smooth, full, malty body that just won’t quit. Oregon hasn’t produced anything this sexy since...uh...Tonya Harding? No, that’s a bad one. Um...Matt Groening?

Birrifico Del Ducato Baciami Lipsia “Kiss My Lips”

“Oh this? Just a gose style sour beer imported from Italy. Let me pour you some. What’s that? Yes, my love, pink is a strange color for beer. That’s the pink Himalayan salt they use before aging it for 9 months in wine barrels. Me? Yes, I’d love a taste.” THEN GO IN FOR THE KISS! BOOM. You’re welcome.

Stone Crime and Punishment

Bear skin rugs in front of roaring fireplaces have come to be expected, but we understand your apartment may be limited (and roommates, am-I-right?). If you want to turn up the heat, these “world’s hottest” chile infused takes on Stone’s Bastards will get both of you sweating in a totally non-gross way. Pair with some Ritual dark chocolate to ease the heat, and always, always take it slow. Too many Valentine’s have ended in teary eyes and chugging milk.

Brooklyn Wild Streak

Break routine! Change it up! Get wild! Be a rebel! But it’s really really cold out. So maybe for now you can get wild with this Belgian golden ale, conditioned with champagne yeast and Brettanomyces for a funky, complex mouth party. Don’t forget to invite your date to the mouth party. Boy, would that be embarrassing, alone at a mouth party.

Virtue “The Mitten” Apple Cider

Apertif, dinner pairing, dessert, brunch, this cider goes all night. A blend of last years batch aged in bourbon barrels with this year’s freshly pressed cider makes for a crisp, sweet, smoky nectar of the gods. When your date says “I love you,” they might not be talking to you.

Hanssens Oude Kriek and Experimental Raspberry

A nice dinner means a big cut of steak, bowls of pasta, and a romance killing food coma. The wild tang of these fruity lambics is just what you need to revitalize your senses and could make the difference between feeding each other Nunu chocolates while sipping these symphonies of raspberry and cherry...and falling asleep rewatching True Detective.

Narragansett Lager (Tall Boy)

Maybe you don’t have a Valentine. So what? Or maybe you two just don’t buy into this corporate, prix fixe, Hallmark holiday and aren’t looking for anything fancy. Damn the man! Grab a sixer of Rhode Island’s favorite lager, punch a hole in the side, and find a stranger for some Black-Out-Make-Out time!
